Wife admits she faked being pregnant for 42 months so she could quit work, eat and sleep all day

An Albuquerque woman has finally admitted to her family, friends, and neighbors that she was lying about being pregnant for the past three years and a half.

Caroline Shepperd, 37, says she lied to her loved ones, including her husband and close relatives so that she could be lazy and eat and sleep all day without having to work.

The 37-year-old woman admits she does have regrets about not telling the truth to family and friends but says in hindsight, it was all worth it.

“It’s really great when you’re pregnant because you can eat like a pig, sleep all day, wear jogging pants 24 hours a day and everybody treats you like a princess and keeps telling you how wonderful you look,” Caroline Shepperd, 37, admitted to reporters.

Husband Andrew Scheer, 39, was surprised to learn this week that his wife had been lying to him for the past three years and a half about being pregnant.

“I thought it was taking long since my sister had two babies during the same period but I didn’t want to put any stress on the pregnancy” Husband Andrew Scheer, 39, told reporters.

Caroline Shepperd said that she took the time off from work to learn about herself but mostly spent her time being lazy, playing video games, and eating and sleeping 20 hours a day.

“I would often lie about going to my appointment to the doctor but would instead go to an all-you-can-eat buffet and binge eat for hours,” Shepperd admitted to journalists.

Caroline Shepperd was forced to admit the truth about her fake pregnancy after her employer became suspicious after she had claimed maternity leave benefits for the past forty-two months.
