200 Million Years Old Dinosaur Egg Hatches in Berlin Museum

Berlin | A malfunction with the heating system of the Museum für Naturkunde (or Museum of Natural History) had some unforeseen consequences, as a Gasosaurus egg dating from the Jurassic period ended up hatching, giving birth to the first dinosaur to see the daylight in more than 100 million years.

The egg which was believed to be petrified was preserved in a small storage room situated right next to the boiler room.

When the system started overheating a few weeks ago, it seems to have surprisingly initiated the incubation process, leading the egg to hatch.

«This is an incredible opportunity for science» explains Gunther Warburg, a paleobiologist at the museum.

The Gasosaurus is classified as a carnivorous tetanuran dinosaur of the therapod family originating from China.

“This dinosaur previously remained a mystery because all we had to study were a few precarious remains” explained the scientist.

“Now we have a live one! I feel like I’m in Jurassic Park the movie! » explains the specialist, visibly enthusiast.

The specimen has already been transferred to the Berlin Zoo where it can be studied in a secure environment.

A few facts have already been made public concerning the creature, including its size and weight, allegedly 41 centimeters tall with a weight of 11 kilograms.

I know it’s amazing that something like this happens in the science world, but does anyone consider the dangers that come a long with these sort of things??
And hello, the article said it’s a CARNIVORE. Why would you want carnivore dinosaurs roaming the earth?

  4. Why do people do these things?! Can’t they see what happens in the movie Jurassic Park and Jurassic World?! Yes, dinosaurs may be fascinating and highly intelligent, but they are very strong, powerful, and heavy. They can destroy humans very easily. Why would anyone want to create dinosaurs? Do you people want you to destroy humanity?!

So lets not try to create or clone dinosaurs so humans can exist for a long time.

  5. that’s amazing! just think! dinosurs walking around… creepy, but it would be a brand new generation of their kind! I know you might not belive this, but if you get eaten by a dino in the future, don’t go blaming this site! :/ blame yourself for not beliving in these poor creatures who have been stuck in egg for two million years! sorry if i sound rude or anything i’m just making a point! think about it, if you were a dinosour in a egg still you haven’t hatched yet its not fun sleeping for two million years! then you
hatch and people are amazed that your alive, and some people are NOT happy OR amazed that a new generation of e’m are alive, i’m a person who is amazed by this creature!

    • Yes they can be creepy. But mostly extremely fast and dangerous.
So I would not like to have dinosaurs roaming around anytime soon.
‘Cause they can end humanity very easily.
