Fidel Castro: “Bernie Sanders Will Bring Socialism to America”

Havana | Former president of Cuba, Fidel Castro, held a four-hour long speech yesterday where he praised Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders for his “revolutionary” and “socialist ideas for America” reports the Havana Times.

The former Cuban leader gave an impressive four-hour long speech to a crowd of thousands gathered to hear the words of the retired leader, a rare feat these past months due to his dwindling health at age 89.

“Comrades, I speak before you today because I feel energized by this new America that is being born in front of our eyes,” he told the crowd.

“Socialism is coming to America, and its name is Bernie Sanders, the new face of Socialism,” he said to an exalted crowd.

In a rare public apparition, the 89-year old and former president of Cuba, Fidel Castro, praised Bernie Sanders “the new face of Socialism in America”

Socialism is “coming to America”

The late Cuban leader cheered the new “socialist transformation of America”.

“We have seen how Obama has brought universal health care to America, and now we have this presidential candidate, this Bernie Sanders, who in some way reminds me of my late friend Hugo Chavez in his will to bring Socialism to the American people” he spoke with passion.

“Americans have witnessed the utter failure of Capitalism, the destruction of its middle class and is tired of the endless wars” he argued.

“The Cuban model has proved its superiority and Americans now see through the government propaganda and now praise our country’s centralized economy, our health care system, our education system: Americans are hungry for Socialism” he chanted under a round of applause.

Cuba as an “example for America”

Although Bernie Sanders and Fidel Castro have never met, Bernie Sanders has also praised the Cuban regime at various times in his career.

In a 1985 public access radio interview while he was mayor of Burlington, Vermont, Sanders praised the Cuban leader’s regime, saying “He educated their kids, gave their kids health care and totally transformed society”.

“The heritage of Castro will be felt for generations to come, he is an example for his people, for America and for the world” he admitted.

“One day, in the future, Americans will embrace Socialism, but we are still far from that day” he explained during the radio interview.

Although Hillary Clinton is leading the Democratic presidential candidate race, some experts believe liberal voters could be charmed by Fidel Castro’s support for Bernie Sanders candidacy which could play to the Vermont Senator’s advantage.

No doubt that carry out the plan to implement communism in America. That speech is part and exposes the intentions of the elites rapidly implement the New World Order, which is nothing more than pure and simple communism throughout Western civilization … Pope Francis goes also making the rounds in this regard.
US citizens should look to Venezuela to notice as the great friend of Fidel, Hugo Chavez, he left that country turned into a communist hell. Rife with poverty, famine and death in the hands of thugs as part of the communist extermination plan. That is the legacy of the tyrant friend of Castro. Now they sail downwind to implement this “paradise” in America.

    • The plan for NWO is worldwide plan, not just the west. The plan is an agenda being supported by both Democrats and Republicans.
The U.S. people are too busy bickering about sports ball teams and empty lables to notice. The framework is already in place.

  2. Hey Bernie, no one is fleeing the U.S. for Cuba.

  3. How’s that 55 Chevy Belair running Fidel?

    • That ’55 Chevy Bel Air is running fine with a Russian diesel engine, a Croatian transmission, and an old rear end built in Bulgaria, John. LOL!

  4. I have a relative that actually spent time in Cuba, just because her flight was hijacked. She spent several months there until nogatiations brought everyone back safely. She now lives in Atlanta. She will tell you that she is very thankful to have been able to return to the United States. Since Fidel Castro implemented Socialism, time has stopped, they are still back in the 1950’s, buildings are in disrepair, and everyone wares clothes that are worn out, the tooth paste is a white paste with a grit in it non flavored, if you are lucky enough to have a garden, you cannot share it with anyone, if you do you will be badly beaten then thrown into jail and the garden will be removed from your property. Then, you will not get out of jail for a very long time.

All of the stuff you said about living in the 50’s, poor, time stopping etc… Was that due to socialism or perhaps to the fact that we had an embargo on them for the last 50 years?

      Exactly Robert Smith.

They can trade with every other country in the world. I am sure it’s not because of the embargo Robert Smith Joe Braithwaite.

    • To Robert Smith: my family is from Cuba. They aren’t in the condition they are in because of the embargo. They are in the condition they are in because, it’s a communist country. Cuba has everything. They just don’t give any of it to the people. They couldn’t care less about “THE PEOPLE”. Everyone is poor and does without basic necessities. The food they give you is a ration which isn’t enough to feed a six year old. A couple pounds of rice a month, a pound of beans, maybe two eggs a week. That’s it. No meat period. Children are given a ration of powdered milk until about age 7 and then they loose that. If they eat more it’s because, they have family in the states or they’ve chosen the oldest job in the world, and they get paid $2 for sex by the tourist. Yes I said $2!!!! Castro said it best in a documentary by Oliver Stone,” even the hooker on the corner has a college degree”. Yes everyone gets a free college education in Cuba but, it isn’t worth the paper it’s written on if you can’t feed your family.

    • Robert Smith: “Was that due to socialism or perhaps to the fact that we had an embargo on them for the last 50 years?”

First of all, just because the U.S. had an embargo didn’t mean the rest of the world didn’t trade with Cuba. In fact, the former Soviet Union supported that country for decades until the USSR collapsed.

Second of all, so the U.S. capitalist system is so “inferior” that the “superior” communist system needs to trade with it in order for the “superior” communist system to survive?
