Dubai: Crown Prince to Marry Former Street Girl

hamdan

Dubai| 28-year-old Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai, announced this morning his engagement to Kalila Said, a Palestinian refugee who grew up in the streets of a shantytown near the Arab metropolis. The second-oldest son of ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met the 23-year old woman while working on a charity project in March of last year in one of the capital’s disadvantaged neighbourhoods and the two have rapidly developed a symbiotic relationship.

Sheikh Hamdan’s love life has been the object of much speculation over the years . He remained in a monogamous and serious relationship with one of his half-cousins from 2008 to 2013, despite the fact that he was engaged to his cousin Sheikha Sheikha Al Maktoum. This relationship ended sourly however in January 2013, just a few months before the Prince met his new love. His arranged marriage has also recently been cancelled for reasons that were not made public.

This charming Prince was a well known “lady’s prize” for a long time. He not only writes poetry, but he is also passionate about horses. Affectionately known as Fazza, meaning “the courageous,” the name under which he publishes his poetry, he is known for his strong penchant for fast cars and skydiving. He is a graduate from the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy and also attended the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prince Hamdan even won a team gold medal at the 15th Asian Games in 2006 in a horseback riding competition. He also owns an incredible collections of camels, and he once paid US$4.5 million for 16 beautiful specimens at a camel beauty pageant in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Handsome, brave and exotic: what more could a girl ask for?

Well despite Hamdan’s status and good looks, he had to court the young woman with insistence for over three months before she accepted to start seeing him. The recipient of a Royal scholarship for exceptional merit and psychology graduate from the American Universtiy of Dubai did however end up succumbing to the Prince’s charm and the two rapidly became almost inseparable.

According to rumors circulating in the country, Hamdan’s father, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, threatened last November to disinherit his son if he pursued the relationship, but to no avail. The young man chose love over his title and situation, bringing his father to reconsider his position. The Sheikh finally seems to have accepted the situation and even gave his blessing to the new couple.

The hijab has its origins in the Christian faith…the Monarchy is un-islamic…love prevails over all else…happiness to both!

Congratulations to the couple . Best Wishes for a joyous marriage. Hurrah for Sheik Hamdan in following his heart and convictions. He was willing to be disinherited and lose his title and wealth for the love of this very special young woman. He would have never been happy or fulfilled in an arranged marriage with a cousin or having more than one wife. From his poetry and his deeds , one can tell that he is deeply spiritual , compassionate, charitable and romantic.

  2. Such Impression.
    Much Blessings.

    • maybe its not your wife we are talking about

    • mmm in what world do you live? Because she doesnt wear a hijab she is not a muslim? If she wears or not ..is none of your bussines! , theres more important things to worry in life than a hijab!! open your mind sir

    • A hijab is not part of islam you fucking retard.

Islam and good Manners are not measured by the “Hijab”!!!

Plus it is not you who judge humans in this life, God can only judge people..Maybe in her life she has done better things and worshiped god, followed the sunnah of the prophet and helped people more than you thus for god she might be better than you!!! Thats why we human should never judge others because we dont really know what they really are or what they did!! didnt they teach you that at school?? or they just taught you how to grow a bread and look like a cave man without acting like a real muslim from within.

So stop judging people by the outside looks! Go back to quran and Sunnah and u will find out that it is a big sin to judge people like that and call them non-muslim just because she is not wearing a piece of clothe on her head. There are millions of muslim girls around the world who dont cover yet so for you all of them are non-muslims???
Then Tell me, what about the extremist terrorists (who say they are muslims) pray 5 times but kill innocent people for their stupid ideologies which does NOT exist anywhere in the quran or the sunnah of our prophet, for you they are still muslims because they grow a beard and pray???
Thats why you are here in this life not to judget any human!!!!

    • Jealous much! u idiot

    • let it be guys… wether she wear hijab or not…Allah knows better…we can do best is good wishes for both of them..

    • Shut Up Abdullah, lots of Muslim they dont cover their hair!!! Your mind is so close!!!

And there you have it – a perfect example of an intolerant, narrow minded, fanatic Muslim. It’s like saying “this is why we blow up anyone who does not respect our backward ways of covering and suppressing our women”

    • Talking about respect? You, kind Sir, should learn the meaning of that word and stop being judgemental

    • Mahmoud Hassan | June 19, 2014 at 7:47 am |

      idiot…

    • Very well said Lynda

    • Grow up Man !!

    • Where did you read that she is a non muslim? what is the problem if she is not a Muslim and not covered?

we live in 2014 not in 1200. Open up your mind a bit

    • Altair Ibn La'ahad | June 19, 2014 at 9:00 am |

This is why we are at war, because we don’t understand Islam, you sir got the mentality of extremist or shall we say Idiots, maybe you’re from Pakistan where you treat Muslim Women as pets and not as a person you’ve loved, educate yourself Sir…

    • Lets assume for a second she is not muslim, he can still marry her as long as she is from “Ahl lkitb”

    • Gino Gabriels | June 19, 2014 at 10:49 am |

Dude, with a face like yours, you should wear the hijab along with your cousin(s).

    • LOL IDIOT

    • what a comment from un schooled fellow!you want your attire respected but you don’t respect other’s attire. who do you think you are? God?

    • LOL get your head out of your as* buddy!

    • people like you who always give bad image to islam and muslims , keep you negative comments to yourself idiot , and you can cover your mother

    • Mekh Paija | June 19, 2014 at 7:05 pm |

By seeing all the comments below I suggest you to change yourself. Please come to the light, leave that dark corner over there. The first thing you cannot judge people like that. Secondly, you don’t exist in the 21st century time. You are still way back to historical era. Do you think that the ladies should not go to school, shouldn’t drive a car and stay home all the time listening the stupid husband like you? Do you see what the ladies have done in the world? See there are so many Muslims dropped their comments below here. In this case, either you must be stupid or all the people who post their comments and HH Prince Hamdan himself must be stupid. Please change your attitude.

    • God bless Addulah! dont be judgemental pls..is not the hijab what is important here,is the heart that speaks love…like what God done to us,he gave us his unconditional love for us to live.. why we are always in war in other part of the world and didnt stop because there is something missing in us! is…the LOVE! God bless us all!

    • here is another suicide bomber wanna be! Simply because other people don’t grow beard or wear hijab! blow your self caveman!

    • AHMAD AHMAD | June 20, 2014 at 8:07 am |

You retard! People like you have put a wrong impression about Islam. Always criticizing and complaining. Islam has nothing to do with Hijab you retard! Go and make things right first!!! Oh i guess you’re beard is very much against your Islam !!! Retard!

    • She should wear the hijab for God not for her husband

    • Hey Brother Abdullah, mind your own business I am muslim as well and not wearing hijab my husband before we get married he never ask me even once to wear hijab or abaya. As a muslim woman is not necessary to be covered the most important that you know what is bad or good must your heart is clean not like other muslims that they have to show to be covered but they are more devil’s inside than not covered. This is the reason now all over the world having problem co’z most of them they are using the Islam….Please let her alone she is not your daughter. For sure your wife & daughter will suffering your belief and kind of mentality. You judge someone that is not your business better shut up your brain and mouth.

    • Abdulla, better clean your face and soul first before judge others.

    • welcome to the real world Abdulah !Hope you are not married. Women now have rights. Get over it !

    • and you wear facial hair to hide the fact that you are gay right?

    • use condom when you fuck your wife, pls do not reproduce. you are still a barbaric retard.

    • I think you should wear the hijab yourself, Abdulah Mohamed. The Muslim men’s cruelty to women should be ended.

    • guess you are pakistani, a future suicide bomber, pity for your wife if you are married, barbaric beard man, you’re the one who should put cover on your face, shame on you!!!!!

    • and yes I am aware that this is Dubai not Saudi Arabia. You are just a good example of a saudi too.

    • well it looks like my comment disappeared, what I wanted to say is that she is PALESTINIAN like myself not saudi or pakistani or some other backwards country, Palestinian women choose whether or not to wear the hijab. My family has lived in Jerusalem for hundreds of years and none of them besides my grandmother wear it. And so what if she’s not muslim, lots of muslim men marry christian women, especially in Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon – like ARAFAT and my own father! The Quran says nothing about covering the hair or head or face or anything else, it says to “dress modestly” and it says the SAME thing for the men. Unfortunately, some countries think “modestly” means women walking around in a stupid ghost costume.

    • Denise Colleen Eggert | February 22, 2015 at 7:27 pm |

The hijab is cultural and not central to being Muslim. The Qu’ran only states that women should be placing their cover over their bosoms. If you want to be strict about the traditional prescribed hijab for men and women, most Muslim men violate these rules consistently. They shouldn’t be wearing shorts in public or baring their naked chests. Men are supposed to be covered, wearing a full beard and a head covering. Why are Muslim men judging Muslim women on ancient standards of dress and appearance , when they don’t follow those standards themselves ? I travel through the Middle East as a Christian woman , dressed very modestly and conservatively , and I have to suppress my laughter when I see Muslim men dressed in short shorts, tank tops and flip flop sandals traveling with women wearing either a black chaldor or abaya with full head and face veil , gloved hands and only her eyes are showing. This is ridiculous and it makes no sense! Judge yourself first. Many Muslim women dress modesty without the hijab. In fact hijab was a custom from the early Byzantine Catholic Church. The Orthodox, Protestant and Catholic Churches stopped the regulation of women wearing head coverings in churches and holy places in the late sixties. Most nuns don’t wear the veil any more. The only place where a head covering is mandatory is in the Vatican.

    • Shiraz Q,

While I agree on part of your comment regarding not covering being not nessecary, I however find your comment about Pakistani and Saudi being backwards countries. If you compare to Palestine they are certainly AS backwards. Don’t judge unless you want to be judged. And Also there is difference between Saudi and Pakistan in fact there is a difference between Saudi Arabia and ALL of the muslim countries. It is also not part of Islam to call other countries, people backwards. Arrogance is unappealing no matter how you veil it.

    • Myopic talk. Sit back Sir. Love covers all doesn’t the Quoran tell you that. So by covering your head makes you holy or better off. Gosh!!!!! Mind your wife at home and let her cover including her finger. Let the handsome prince and damsel be.
