Death row inmate eats an entire Bible as his last meal

Atmore, Alabama | When the prison staff asked 33-year Jeremy Morris if he wanted anything special for his last meal, he answered “I just want a Bible”.

The prison guards of the William C. Holman Correctional Facility thought he wanted to pray and repent, so they gave him an old copy of the King James Bible.

Against all expectations, the condemned murderer began tearing up the holy book and eating it.

It took hours of chewing and swallowing small pieces of paper, but Mr Morris ate the totality of the 1200-page book, including the cover.

Walter Henri, the prison guard who handed him the old and worn out Bible, says the inmate seemed to “savor every bite”.

He kept tearing pieces from his Bible and eating them like they were potato chips!”

Holman Prison director, Frank Davis, says the staff decided to let the prisoner eat the Bible because it didn’t violate the establishment’s “last meal policy”.

Director Davis says the guards were surprised to see Mr Morris ingest the Bible, but did not feel the need to intervene.

In most states and various countries where the death penalty is legal, it’s customary to give sentenced prisoners a special last meal at their request.

Restrictions do apply, concerning mostly the legality, the accessibility and value of the meal.

Despite its unusual nature, Mr Morris’ choice of meal was “locally accessible and worth less than 40$”, making it conform to the rules of Alabama correctional  facilities.

Jeremy Morris is expected to be executed tomorrow for the killing of two Catholic nuns in 2007.

  1. I feel sorry for that guy when he gets to the pearly gates. What a wacko!

    • Haha he aint going to no pearly gates….he’s got a one way ticket to HELL….bahahaha

    • Actually, then he’ll be fine. Everyone is forgiven. God doesn’t have the need for vengeance that we (you) do.

    • God already told humanity where your going after death and this clueless man is gonna shortly be in agony.

  2. There is no god there is no pearly gates there is no afterlife there is only a sudden loss of consciousness thats all that actually hapens when you die

What part about NON-FALSIFIABLE don’t you understand??? The burden of proof rests on the one making the claim. Whether it’s yours or those who claim that there is indeed a God and an “afterlife”. Just learn to accept the uncertainty of death and the ultimate mystery.

    • How do you know, are you dead by any chance?

    • Since there is no god, you certainly aren’t god, so clearly you don’t know everything, then how are you so certain of something you have no proof or experience of?

    • Good to know you died to answer that for us.. oh wait.. lol

    • Hahaha a your mouth and ass will stretch mightily for those demon cocks… enjoy! Eternity is a little long. FUCK ING loser!

    • Hope your right or your in for a fucking

    • haha and you know this how….have you died before…smfh…lol

    • You been there and done that?

    • i WOULD RATHER LIVE MY LIFE KNOWING THERE IS A GOD, THEN TO DIE AND FIND OUT THERE ISN’T,
THAN TO LIVE MY LIFE AS THO THERE WERE NO GOD , TO DIE AND FIND OUT THERE IS.

    • Do they know you’re out and using the internet?

    • I was in a coma for 10 days and died twice during that time. I didn’t see anything. There was no God, Devil, Pearly Gates or even a light. It was just nothingness. The best way to describe it is, imagine walking into a room with a light. You reach up and switch the light off. That darkness or nothingness is what I experienced.

      have you ever died before?

    • That’s what you think!

      Oh this is rich!
To the guy in the coma… How can you remember what happened when you were dead if you were in fact… Dead… Think about that…

Plus… You were in a coma… You may remember that, but chances are… The darkness you saw, was the back of your eyelids 😑

    • You died before?

There is Definitely a God – You will live on in spirit-either in Hell or Heaven. So i’d suggest to live as best you can and stsrt to ask God for forgiveness

  3. There is God, there are pearly gates, there is afterlife and it will be in either in heaven of hell. And with this guy its sadly obvious what happened to him 🙁

    • You’re getting warm, but still have a ways to go. Would You put Your kids in a place described like hell? Come on, we’re in hell already and no loving god would put anyone anywhere near a place like what you call hell.

your white-christ is an amalgamation of the old norse gods, and the jewis faith mixed with roman paganism., it is a made up consept used as a tool for mass manipulation of people and nations. they have been using it for this purpose since the Roman emperors took it from the christians.

    • In Judaism, the forerunner of Christianity, their is a transition or cleansing period known as Gehenom. It can last for eternity or near to it but it’s not necessary to have been repentant, all will experience Gehenom. In Gehenom, you are transitioned through two stages. One you see what you have done and done to others in the course of your actions. Second you are shown what your life could have been if you had done well by you and others. It is it’s own brand of hell but we must be humbled in order appreciate anything.Inside every person is a child living with the love and affliction they have endured. That’s why it is said though shall not judge or though shall be judged. We pay for our harshness and callous ways for they do indeed impact others. Judaism is the religion of Christ for he himself was a rabbi (if he was at all) Know your roots! 😀 It’s from whence we have all grown.

  4. He killed 2 nuns and ate a Bible for his last meal… There’s no way this guy wasn’t raped by his priest when he was little

  5. I always wonder what happened in the raising of such people — what kind of parents and home life they had. This guy is so lost and messed up. I wish ALL babies born onto this planet could receive the love and direction they deserve. What a society we could have. Hold the vision.

One of my best friends that I knew was responsible for the 68th homicide in my state. He lived in a loving, caring home. He had all the attention he could want, given that he was practically an only child. The house they grew up in had nothing to do with why he did it. He shot a man to death in the man’s own backyard over a bike. He is now awaiting trial… Home and family life have nothing to do with why a person does something like this, it’s just, something in their head.

    • your a beautiful soul
